After long deliberations, Little Giraffe Foundation voted to fund 20 initiatives for 2019, totaling over $52,000 – 4 Neonatal Research Grants to forward medical care for premature babies and 16 NICU Support Grants designed to improve the lives of the families and babies in the NICU.

2019 NICU Support Grants

• St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation, Billings, MT -- to receive $1,000 to purchase books for their Preemie Parent Education & Support Program

• Franciscan Health Foundation - Crown Point, Crown Point, IN -- to receive $500 for the purchase of gas cards for NICU parents

• Fransican Health Foundaton - Olympia Fields, Olympia Fields, IL -- to receive $1,000 for the purchase of gas and grocery cards for NICU families

• University of South Alabama - Children's and Women's Hospital, Mobile, AL -- to receive $1,000 toward their Cove Kit program to purchase journals, blankets, and snacks for NICU parents

• St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Philadelphia, PA -- to receive $800 towards mamaRoo swings for their NICU mamaRoo Program

• Children's Minnesota, Edina, MN -- to receive $1,000 to purchase books for their NICU lending library in support of their Wee Read program

• Franciscan Health Foundation - Lafayette, Lafayette, IN -- to receive $1,000 in support of their Transportation and Meal Program to purchase gas cards, bus fare, and meal vouchers for NICU families

• Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY -- to receive $1,000 for the purchase of supplies for their NICU holiday gift package initiative

• Norton Children's Hospital, Louisville, KY -- to receive $1,000 to purchase gas and restaurant gift cards for NICU families

• Marian Regional Medical Center, Santa Maria, CA -- to receive $1,000 for the purchase of car seats for families discharged from the NICU

• Covenant Health Hospital, Lubbock, TX -- to receive $1,000 in support of their NICU lending library to purchase books

• Franciscan Health Foundation - Central Indiana, Indianapolis, IN -- to receive $1,000 in support of their gas card program for NICU families

• Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD -- to receive $1,000 for the purchase of journals for NICU families

• The Tiny Miracles Foundation, Darien, CT -- to receive $1,000 toward their NICU Pantry Program for stocking food in the family rooms at five area hospitals

• Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont, TX -- to receive $1,000 in support of their NICU occupational therapy program to purchase mamaRoo swings, boppy pillows, and related supplies

• Life's Little Miracles, Boerne, TX -- to receive $1,000 for purchase of products for NICU care packages
