After long deliberations, Little Giraffe Foundation voted to fund 18 initiatives for 2018, totaling over $44,000 – 3 Neonatal Research Grants to forward medical care for premature babies and 15 NICU Support Grants designed to improve the lives of the families and babies in the NICU.

2018 NICU Support Grants

• Life’s Little Miracles, Corp, Boerne, TX -- to receive $1,000 in support of the NICU Care Package program supporting NICU families at SW General Hospital, Christus Santa Rosa – Westover Hills, and Methodist Children’s Hospital

• Advocate Children's Hospital, Park Ridge, IL -- to receive $1,000 for the purchase of Nature Smart NICU crib mobiles

• The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ -- to receieve $1,000 for their Life After NICU Parent Support Group to provide counseling to NICU parents

• The Tiny Miracles Foundation, Darien, CT -- to receive $1,000 toward their NICU Pantry Program for stocking food in the family rooms at five area hospitals

• Nationwide Children's, Columbus, OH -- to receive $1,000 to purchase books for thier NICU library

• University of Oklahoma Children's Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK -- to receive $1,000 for the purchase of gas cards for NICU families

• WellStar Atlanta Medical Center, Atlanta, GA -- to receive $749 toward mamaRoo infant seats and supplies for NICU babies

• Broward Health Medical Center, Fort Lauderdale, FL -- to receive $1,000 for food vouchers for NICU families in need

• Methodist Children's Hospital, San Antonio, TX -- to receive $1,000 towards their Tiny Toes program for the purchase of Nurture Smart Crib Mobiles for the NICU

• Norton Children's Hospital, Louisville, KY -- to receive $1,000 for the purchase of gas and restaurant gift cards to NICU families

• Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL -- to receive $1,000 to purchase bead supplies for their Beads of Courage program

• Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Atlanta, GA -- to receive $1,000 for the purchase of stuffed bears and voice recorders for their NICU Music Therapy program

• University of California - San Diego Health, La Jolla, CA -- to receive $1,000 for the creation of their new NICU music therapy program

• Kettering Medical Center, Kettering, OH Project Gratitude -- to receive $1,000 for purchase of meal vouchers for NICU parents

• Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, Olympia Fields, IL -- to receive $970 for purchase of Pack 'n Plays and car seats for discharged NICU families
